TRANSFER NEWS LIVE: Manchester United, Chelsea, City, Arsenal, Real Madrid updates and more…

6:45: Express Sport understand Chelsea will go back with an improved £60million offer for Alex Sandro in the next few days and Juventus are resigned to the deal being done if he is guaranteed improved wages.

The Blues had seen a £52m bid for the Brazilian left-back turned down last week but the 26-year-old remains a top target for Antonio Conte.

Sandro is on around £75,000-a-week at Juventus, a figure Chelsea can easily improve on, and the defender has been told his club will not stand in his way if he makes it clear he wants to go.

Chelsea also face competition from Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain but manager Conte is determined to get his man.

6:25: Manchester United aren’t giving up on Celtic defender Kieran Tierney, with Jose Mourinho keen to sign a new left-back this summer.

A replacement for Luke Shaw is needed, and according to the Daily Mirror, Tierney is still being considered as an option.

It is said three scouts watched the Celtic ace during the recent Scotland v England World Cup qualifier.

6:00 Jamie Carragher wants Liverpool to sign at least four new players this summer in order to challenge for the Premier League title next season.

“The actual team, the XI, could go up against anyone – we saw that in the big games with some great results in those games,” he told the club’s official website.

“But over the season, especially around Christmas and January, it was evident that the squad wasn’t big enough or strong enough. That needs adding to.

“But rather than just adding players to the squad, you want to add players to the team.

“If you add three or four players and they go straight into the first XI, three or four of those who were playing week in, week out last season go to the bench.”

5:45: Arsenal striker Takuma Asano will remain at Stuttgart for the 2017/18 season after failing to get a UK work permit, according to German newspaper Bild.

Asano scored five goals and made four assists in 27 apps last season as Stuttgart finished in 1st place to gain promotion to the Bundesliga.
