MANCHESTER UNITED TRANSFER NEWS LIVE: All the gossip on Ronaldo, De Gea, Morata and more…

Monday 19 June:

13:05: Alvaro Morata will reportedly have to wait patiently to secure his switch from Real Madrid to Manchester United.

An imminent departure from the Bernabeu has been put on hold following the Cristiano Ronaldo revelations he wants to leave Spain amid his allegations of tax fraud.

According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Perez has urgently stopped his move to Old Trafford, with a two-week delay expected.

The 24-year-old’s agent Juanma Lopez apparently travelled to the Bernabeu believing he would be sealing Morata’s transfer.

But he found not only Madrid are in no hurry, the situation surrounding Ronaldo has complicated matters.

If United meet Madrid’s demands of around £79million, the deal should still be done, although it now appears a completion date is not likely to be until early July.

Ronaldo has shocked Real Madrid by claiming he wants to leave Spain after being embroiled in a £13million tax dispute.

The 32-year-old helped Zinedine Zidane’s side win the Champions League and La Liga last season but could be about to quit the Bernabeu.

Manchester United are interested in re-signing their former star, who Sir Alex Ferguson sold to Real for a then world-record £80m in 2009.

But Spanish websie Diario Gol claim Mourinho does not want Ronaldo back at Old Trafford.

The pair fell out during Mourinho’s spell in Madrid and the Red Devils boss thinks Ronaldo is now in decline.

10.10: Manchester United are turning the screw with their summer dealings having already signed Victor Lindelof.

United completed their £30.7m deal for centre-back Lindelof from Benfica earlier this month.

Jose Mourinho is pushing on with a deals for Alvaro Morata, Eric Dier and Ivan Perisic and could sell David De Gea.

But how could United line up next season? We had a look.

09:15: Manchester United may agree to pay Tottenham’s steep £50m price-tag for Eric Dier, reports claim.

Jose Mourinho is a fan of the versatile England star, and he is a target to help bolster the Portuguese’s midfield at Old Trafford.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United may accept to paying over the odds to convince Spurs chairman Daniel Levy into selling.

An alternative remains Nemanja Matic though, and the Chelsea star is considered a more achievable target.

Either player could potentially double their salaries by moving to Old Trafford.

08.20: Cristiano Ronaldo has told his agent to seal him a move back to Manchester United, according to the Sun.

Ronaldo wants to quit Real Madrid this summer after being caught up in a £13m tax storm.

United are considering a move to smash the world transfer record.

And Ronaldo appears to be keen on a move. PSG and teams from China are also interested but United are said to be Ronaldo’s first choice.

03:00: Manchester United are reportedly plotting an audacious deal to land Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese superstar could leave Real Madrid after being left disappointed following his alleged tax evasion.

And according to the Daily Mirror, United could sign Ronaldo in a player-plus-cash deal with David de Gea heading the other way to the Bernabeu in a deal worth £175m.

It is claimed United also want Real striker Alvaro Morata but will pursue him in a separate deal.
