New Oxlade-Chamberlain deal
10.34: Arsenal have offered Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain a new four-year contract to ward off Chelsea.
The Blues are keen on signing Oxlade-Chamberlain who has just 12 months to run on his current deal.
But, according to the Daily Star, Arsenal have made a play to keep him.
It is claimed the England winger has been offered a deal worth £125,000 a week.
Costa on Conte text
10:00 Chelsea striker Diego Costa wants to speak face to face with manager Antonio Conte.
Costa has been vocal of his anger at Chelsea after the Blues dumped him via text message in June.
The Spain international’s career at Stamford Bridge is over after Conte opted to spend a huge £70million on Alvaro Morata.
Morata scored against Burnley last week but was guilty of missing a sitter as Chelsea beat Tottenham 2-1 at Wembley on Sunday.
And Costa has revealed he has sought a confrontation with Conte – aiming a dig at the Italian’s bottle in the process.
“Conte’s text? It was a moment of madness. It can happen, but I thought it was disrespectful,” he told MC News.
“I always asked to speak face to face with the coach and the board. I never sent [them] text messages, so it shows what kind of person he is.
“If something makes me sad about this situation, it’s [the fans’] affection as they’d always supported me, even during the delicate moments.
“If I’d been in the team for three years, it was for them and the dressing room, which was very much united. It was a great experience.”
Aubameyang transfer talk
09.30: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted his future is still uncertain and he could leave Borussia Dortmund.
Aubameyang was linked with Chelsea and AC Milan earlier in the transfer widow.
And he told Radio Montecarlo Italy: “I am still reflecting on whether I should leave or not.
“This club and these fans are incredible, but if I want to grow, I feel I need to leave.
“This is the question I keep on asking myself — and I don’t have an answer.
“I need time to think about it. If I want to grow, I surely need to leave this summer.
“I am 27 and I need to grow.
“If I leave, it will only be somewhere I would play regularly.”
Atletico ready to bid
09.15: Atletico Madrid are ready to pay £50m for Diego Costa – with signs that the saga could finally come to an end.
Costa has been AWOL this summer and missed the first two games of the Premier League season.
The Spain star wants to seal a return to Atletico and Chelsea are ready to sanction a move if the club can pay his valuation.
And now Atletico are ready to test the waters with a bid.
Costa remains in Brazil after being told he was not in Antonio Conte’s plans via text message earlier this summer.
