Week 29 Captain Picks
Game Week 29 Captain Picks
This is the kind of week where choosing a captain is a lot of fun. With every team to choose from it really becomes about looking at the match ups and considering who’s really likely to have the big game. For us it was a real dilemma with some pretty significant names were left out. One of the not-so-big names that only just missed the cut was Bournemouth’s Josh King who we feel was at least worth a mention because with his fantastic form he’d have had a real shot if it wasn’t for such a crowded week. So without further ado, check out who made it onto our list – you might be surprised who got a captain pick in FPL week 29!
GW29 Captain Pick No. 3: Sergio Aguero
Close between Aguero and Chelsea’s Diego Costa for this spot and it’s the perfect example of a week where the match up does all the talking. Although Aguero’s recent goalscoring form isn’t all that, the home tie against Liverpool makes a convincing case. We think this game is likely to be high scoring and if it is, City will be looking to this man to be putting it in the back of the net. We do with Sergio would chip in for some other stats (assists are mighty hard to come by for him), but all in all he scrapes into the #3 spot by the skin of his teeth.
GW29 Captain Pick No. 2: Alexis Sanchez
Sanchez holders have very well this season, and there’s no reason not to have faith in him this week too. Although there were apparent backroom issues, it’s generally expected that he’ll be back in the starting lineup this week (though obviously keep a close eye on it). Unlike Aguero, Sanchez chips in with assists as well as plenty of goals and you can expect that he’ll take something from this trip to West Brom. Obviously for Sanchez the line between a 2 or 3 point week and a 14 or 15 point week is very fine, so you’ll just be hoping the real deal shows up.
