FPL Week 35 Captain Picks
Game Week 35 Captain Picks
The overwhelming takeaway from week 34 is the very unfortunate injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, which is of course very sad and takes away someone we expected to dominate the captain picks in the tail end of the season. That said this week there were plenty of decent options to choose from and we do feel very confident in our picks. As we approach the real crunch time of the FPL season, this week’s captain pick could be the difference between winning your league or coming second best.
On that note, let’s take a glance at our top 3 captain picks for this week.
GW35 Captain Pick No. 3: Eden Hazard
We are hotter on Hazard this week than most pundits, but we really think he’s due a huge performance. While Everton away is certainly not the easiest fixture they’ll have all year, it’s not enough to think he’ll struggle. Hazard has scored 4 goals in his last 4 games and while managers would certainly like to see some more assists thrown in, the scoring rate alone provides decent value. Hopefully this week can see that assist breakthrough even if he fails to keep his scoring streak going.
GW35 Captain Pick No. 2: Sergio Agüero
Agüero will be relishing playing Middlesbrough and though he may come up against a parked bus in the first half, expect it to open up as Borough tire. Agüero was closer to being our first pick than our third and our committee of experts only just voted him into second place. It’s fair to say that if he’s in your team you’ll be starting him.
Although he was disappointing last week, he’d scored in 5 straight prior to this and we it’s very much not hard to imagine Sergio getting his next scoring streak started in this fixture. Our prediction: 12 points.
