Fantasy Premier League – Week 32 Tips
Fantasy Premier League – Week 32 Tips
Coming off a very short break since week 31, we’re full steam ahead to week 32. Personally we love these short breaks as it brings a lot more into the equation, including considering player fitness. The downside is it really ramps up the pressure to make trades and get your team into the right shape for the fixtures. Most fantasy premier leagues are getting into read crunch time right now. We hope you’re vying for the championship and not being threatened by the wooden spoon, but either way, winning is now essential.
We’ve done this week’s article in a slightly different style than previous, with it focusing less on each game, and more on the players themselves. Let us know what you think about our format in the comments below.
5 Players You Need This Week
The consistence in the Spurs midfielders performances are simply remarkable. You have to go all the way back to week 25 to find a sub 6 point week (which is also the last time he didn’t score or assist). Last week he grabbed a goal AND an assist and he looked in the imperious form to keep it up. It seems almost impossible he doesn’t grab at least a 10 point haul to follow his 12 points when he takes on Watford at home. Those who drafted him early did very well, and even at his current price point, those that didn’t need to take the plunge.
I was never much good at these guess the sequence games, but let’s see if we can work out this one: [6, 7, 8, …]. Yup Agüero is surely due a 9 point game this week following his gradually improving performances. More to the point he’s scored in each of his last three games and hasn’t looked much like slowing down. Add that onto the fact that he takes on Hull City at home and he becomes an essential addition.
Last week Ibrahimovic was in our Captains picks, and while he kept us waiting, it turned out to be a good pick as he grabbed a late, late goal. Our rationale for that choice remains the same this week as he really wants to prove who the heart of this Utd team is. He’ll really be looking to score, and he’s odds on to do so. Take into account the face he’s playing bottom of the league Sunderland and you see why he makes our list.
Although Lukaku has only scored 4 points in his last two games, this has to be somewhat forgiven as he came up against Liverpool and Manchester United, both away. This week he has the much more favourable matchup against Leicester at Goodison. Back him to prove his amazing scoring stream was no fluke.
While he’s been hot and cold this season, he did look exceptional against West Ham as he scored and assisted. Although a late game against Crystal Palace away isn’t the most ideal fixture, it’s also not one of the worst and we’re backing him to put back to back performances in.
3 Bargains of the Week (under £5)
Jagielka has quietly been putting in some exceptional performances of late. His goal away to Manchester United cemented his 3rd game in 4 weeks with at least 6 points. A home game to Leicester represents a very decent opportunity to make it 4/5.
Not a name we’ve mentioned much this season, but if you’re working on a tight budget he might be the way forward for you this week. He looked like a new player the last two weeks, scoring 7 and 11 points respectively. Of course these performances could represent a flash in the pan, but a cheap price and game against West Brom makes it worth finding out.
His scoring is very choppy indeed with 10+ games mixed in with lots of one pointers. That being said there are very few defenders at his price point with the capacity to put in bit scores. If you’re left on a small budget he represents a good opportunity for a big game, especially against a poor Middlesbrough.
